Cary Conover is a freelance editorial photojournalist and photography educator based in Wichita, Kansas. From 2000 to 2010 he lived in New York City, where he shot breaking news and feature assignments for such publications as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Village Voice. In addition to his "steady gig" of teaching photojournalism at Andover High School, Cary is an adjunct instructor at Wichita State University, Butler Community College and Friends University. A 1996 graduate of Kansas State University, Cary brings a candid, documentary approach to his photography, unobtrusively capturing moments like the seasoned photojournalist that he is. Cary is available for editorial assignments, weddings, portraits, advertising campaigns, private commissions, corporate reports, photographic consulting and limited-edition archival fine-art prints.
